Abstract

A head-mounted display system, including an image source operable to generate image-bearing light, a near-eye display operable to convey the image-bearing light beams to an eyebox within which a virtual image can be viewed, a camera located adjacent to the near-eye display, wherein the camera has a center of focus, and a processing unit operable to output signals to the image source, wherein the processing unit is operable form a reticle within the virtual image via the image source and dynamically position the reticle at the camera center of focus.
