Abstract
A detection device () includes a transmitter (), a receiver (), and a control unit (). The transmitter () is capable of transmitting an electromagnetic wave. The receiver () is capable of receiving a signal (S), that is, the electromagnetic wave transmitted from the transmitter () and reflected by an object (O). The control unit () controls the size of an instantaneous field of view (so-called IFOV) of the receiver ().
