Abstract

A secondary battery includes a wound electrode body having a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator. The positive electrode and the negative electrode are stacked on each other with the separator interposed therebetween and are wound about a winding axis. The wound electrode body has a section perpendicular to the winding axis. The section has an elongated shape that includes a flat part and a pair of curved parts. The curved parts oppose each other with the flat part interposed therebetween. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active material layer provided on the negative electrode current collector. A ratio of a second distance to a first distance is less than 1.
