Abstract
A novel dynamo-electrical machine is provided that can inhibit an increase in the height of a coil end positioned toward a turn portion and improve the cooling performance around the turn portion of a segment coil. A segment coilincludes a first linear portion, a second linear portion, and a turn portionincluding a top portion. The first linear portionis inserted into a specified slot. The second linear portionis inserted into another particular slotdifferent from the specified slot. The turn portionextends from one end face portion of a stator coretoward the outside of the axial direction of the stator coreand connects the first linear portionand the second linear portion. The linear portionsandof the multiple segment coilsare inserted and placed in the slotsin a layering manner from the inner periphery to the outer periphery in the radial direction. A bent portionis formed between each of the linear portionsandand the turn portion of the segment coilslayered in the radial direction. The bent portiontilts the top portionof the turn portiontoward the end face of the stator core
