Abstract

A method for producing a fatty acid-cannabinoid-plasma protein (FCP) composition, the method comprising: contacting a plasma protein or a peptide portion thereof with a supplemental fatty acid composition comprising at least one fatty acid; and contacting the plasma protein or portion thereof with a cannabinoid composition comprising at least one cannabinoid, such that a combined composition is prepared, which comprises a FCP complex in which the at least one fatty acid and the at least one cannabinoid is bound to the plasma protein or portion thereof.
