In order to improve communication in a radio access network, a base stationincludes: a first communication processing unitconfigured to communicate with a terminal apparatusA; and a second communication processing unitconfigured to receive, from base stationsandrespectively communicating with terminal apparatusesB andC, radio resource time length information for specifying a time length of a radio resource for the terminal apparatusesB andC, and hopping pattern information for specifying a frequency hopping pattern for the terminal apparatusesB andC. The first communication processing unitis configured to determine the frequency hopping pattern for the terminal apparatusA, based on the radio resource time length information and the hopping pattern information, and communicate with the terminal apparatusA in accordance with the determined frequency hopping pattern.
