Abstract

A finishing shroud for a downlight includes an annular body including an upper section extending downward from a rim to a lower section extending downward from the upper section to a horizontal flange extending outward radially to a perimeter extremity. The upper section has tensionable couplings extending outward from the upper section to contact surfaces configured to frictionally engage an inner surface of a downlight housing. A light-flow pathway extends through the annular body from an inlet defined by the rim to an outlet defined by the lower section. A finishing flange extends outward radially from the perimeter extremity to a perimeter edge, is tensionable, has a normal orientation extending upward from the horizontal flange to the perimeter edge, and is tensioned when flexed out of the normal orientation to an activated orientation.
