Abstract

There is provided is an endoscope that can improve the cleanliness of a peripheral portion of an elevator. An endoscope () includes an insertion part () that is provided with a treatment tool insertion channel (), a distal end portion main body (), an elevator housing portion () that is provided in the distal end portion main body () and is open in a first direction, a treatment tool outlet () that is open to an inside of the elevator housing portion () and communicates with the treatment tool insertion channel (), and an elevator (). The elevator () has a first surface () and a second surface () inside a facing region facing the treatment tool outlet () in a state where the elevator is positioned at an elevated position. The first surface () is provided to be inclined to an opening () side of the elevator housing portion () with respect to a direction of an axis (A) of the treatment tool insertion channel (), and the second surface () is provided to be inclined to an opposite side to the opening () side of the elevator housing portion () with respect to the axis (A) of the treatment tool insertion channel ().
