Disclosed is a construction box systemfor a 3D printer, comprising a construction boxhaving a side wall structureand a construction platformreceived within the side wall structure, the side wall structurelimiting an upwardly open construction box interior spacefor building up a component by 3D printing, which interior space is downwardly limited by the construction platform, and a support structurecomprising its own driveintegrated into the support structureand to which the construction boxis releasably attachable, such that the construction boxcan be repeatedly removed from the support structureafter building up the component in the construction box interior spaceand subsequently reattached to the support structure
