Abstract
A human transported weapons system is comprised of processing logic and a barrel movably mounted within a stock. The barrel is movable for positioning and propelling a projectile. The system is comprised of a targeting subsystem (aiming towards an area of sighting); means for locking onto at least one target in the area of sighting as a chosen target responsive to the processing logic; means for determining where the projectile needs to be aimed to strike the chosen target responsive to the processing logic; means for computing a difference between where the projectile needs to be aimed to strike the chosen target at a firing time and where the barrel is aimed at the firing time, responsive to the processing logic; means for adjusting the position of the barrel within the stock, responsive to the computing the difference [note: barrel is adjusted within the stock of the weapon responsive to determining where the projectile needs to be aimed at the firing time to strike the chosen target and where the barrel is aimed at the firing time]; and, a firing subsystem, firing the projectile at firing time so to propel the projectile through the barrel at the chosen target.
