Abstract
An ultrasound systemincludes an ultrasound probeand an image display devicethat are wirelessly connected to each other. The ultrasound probeincludes a transducer array, a transmitting and receiving unitthat generates a sound ray signal by directing the transducer arrayto transmit and receive ultrasonic waves, an image information data generation unitthat generates image information data from the sound ray signal, a compression unitthat compresses the image information data, and a compression ratio setting unitthat sets a compression ratio of the image information data. The image display deviceincludes a decompression unit, a display unitthat displays an ultrasound image based on the decoded image information data, and an inspection mode setting unitthat sets an inspection mode. The compression ratio setting unitsets the compression ratio corresponding to the inspection mode and the compression unitcompresses the image information data at the set compression ratio.
