Abstract

Apparatus(es)/method(s) relating generally to remotely administering a medication is/are disclosed. In one such method, a drug delivery device is obtained. The drug delivery device has: at least one reservoir in fluid communication with a needle; at least one actuator to drive a fluid within a respective at least one reservoir to the needle; a microcontroller to control operation of the at least one actuator; and a dosage control loop configured for communication with the microcontroller and a hemoglobin sensor. A dosage provided by the drug delivery device is automatically adjusted responsive to hemoglobin count sensed by the hemoglobin sensor for transdermal administration of medication for management of chronic kidney disease.
