Abstract
An apparatusfor poling piezoelectric material includes a platenwhich holds a sampleof piezoelectric material to be poled and a stageto which the platen is mounted. The stageis arranged to selectively move the platenand thereby the samplewhich the platenholds. The platenis movable by the stageselectively between a first position and a second position. A corona sourcegenerates a corona to which the sampleis exposed when the platenis moved to the first position by the stage. An electrostatic voltmeterhaving a probemeasures a surface potential of the samplewhen the platenis moved to the second position by the stage
