Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an aperture covering, such as a building aperture covering. The aperture covering comprises a VIG unitand a frame. The frame () comprises elongated fixation profiles () each of which are fixed to and arranged parallel to an elongated structural frame member (). The fixation profile () comprises a fixation wall () which extends opposite to an exterior major surface (S) of the vacuum insulated glass unit () and is fixed to the exterior major surface (S) of the vacuum insulated glass unit () by means of a bonding seal (). The fixation profile () comprises a connection member () extending from the fixation wall (), wherein the connection member () is fixed to the elongated, structural frame member (). The elongated structural member () faces the opposite interior major surface (S) of the vacuum insulated glass unit () placed opposite to the exterior major surface (S) of the vacuum insulated glass unit.
