Abstract

The present invention relates to an ECG electrode connector () and an ECG cable. To eliminate a trunk cable of a conventional ECG cable arrangement, the ECG electrode connector () is configured for mechanically and electrically connecting an ECG electrode with a lead wire. It comprises a connection arrangement () for mechanically connecting the ECG electrode connector () with an ECG electrode (), a lead wire terminal () for connection with a signal line () of a lead wire (), a shield terminal () for connection with a shield () of the lead wire (), an electrode contact () for contacting an electrical contact () of the ECG electrode (), a voltage clamping element () coupled between the lead wire terminal () and the shield terminal (), and a resistor () coupled between the lead wire terminal () and the electrode contact ().
