Abstract
In a brake for detachable arrangement on projectiles, the brake is configured with a surface which is situated in the direction of travel of the projectile, where the surface is larger than a surface given by πR-πr, where R is the outer radius of the brake and r is the inner radius of the brake. A method for braking projectiles is also provided.
