Abstract

An explosion proof electronics enclosure (), is provided having a first compartment () and a second compartment () defined by a body (). A septum () is between the first compartment () and the second compartment (). A first aperture () in the septum () connects the first compartment () and the second compartment (). A cavity () communicates with the first aperture (), wherein the cavity () comprises an undercut taper (). A potting () in the cavity () conforms to the cavity () shape, and forms a substantially explosion-proof interface between the first compartment () and the second compartment ().
