Abstract
A network environment is built in an already-existing production line without significant cost to provide a novel and user-friendly inkjet printer system. A portable repeaterincludes a carriageable storage unit and is interposed between an inkjet printerand a server. The inkjet printerand the repeaterare communicated with other over short-range wirelessto transmit print related data from the inkjet printerto the repeateror from the repeaterto the inkjet printer, and the repeaterand the serverare communicated with each other over a communication networkto transmit the print related data either from the serverto the repeateror from the repeaterto the server. This enables building of the network environment in an already-existing production line without significant cost.
