A hemostatic material containing cationized cellulose and a wound dressing containing the hemostatic are described. At least one of hydroxyl groups of the cationized cellulose is modified with —R—N(R)(R)(R).X, other hydroxyl groups of the cationized cellulose have —H, or —(CHCHO)—H, Rrepresents Calkylene, Chydroxyalkylene, —(CHCHO), or a combination thereof, 1 represents 1 or 2, m represents 1 or 2, and Xmay represent an anionic group.
