Abstract

A device () for extracting an adjuster unit () of a brake assembly (), which includes a shaft (), a gear (), and a sleeve (), includes an insert () configured to be partially inserted between the peripheral wall () of the sleeve () and a proximal end () of the shaft. The insert () includes an engaging section () for engaging the sleeve () and an inner volume () for receiving the proximal end of the shaft (). An actuator () is operatively coupled to the insert () and transmits an extraction force (F) so as to move the insert () and at least the sleeve () away from the brake assembly. The sleeve () has a sealing lip () extending radially inwards from the peripheral wall of the sleeve (), and the insert () includes a groove () configured to engage the sealing lip.
