Abstract

A device for variable volatilization of a compound includes first and second heating elements that cooperate to form a heating chamber and each having a movement enabling structure; the movement enabling structures being configured to allow movement of the first and second heating elements relative to one another; an adjustment mechanism cooperating with the movement enabling structures to produce selective relative movement of the first and second heating elements; and wherein movement of the adjustment mechanism in a first direction results in relative movement of the heating elements away from one another and movement in a second direction produces relative movement of the heating elements toward one another resulting in adjustment of the amount of heat within the heating chamber. Methods of adjusting the amount of heat within a heating chamber are also disclosed.
