Abstract

In one aspect, the present disclosure encompasses a nanocomposite composition comprising a polycarbonate polyol and a nanofiller, wherein the polycarbonate polyol comprises: (a) a polycarbonate polyol derived from copolymerization of COand one or more epoxides; and/or (b) an aliphatic polycarbonate polyol. In a second aspect, the present disclosure encompasses a method for preparing the nanocomposite composition. In a third aspect, the present disclosure encompasses a method of improving a performance property of a polycarbonate polyol, the method comprising the step of forming the nanocomposite composition.
