Abstract

The present invention relates to a housing of an electric machine (), comprising a hollow cylindrical housing element (), in particular housing jacket, and at least one housing cover (), which is attached to the end of the housing element (), a cooling channel () being formed in the housing, the housing element () having at least two cooling channel sections () of the cooling channel (), which each extend from a channel end opening () in an end face () of the housing element () in an axial direction relative to a housing axis () into the housing element (). Two adjacent cooling channel sections () are flow-connected to each other via a deflection section () formed in the housing cover (). There is a sealing gasket () for sealing off the cooling channel () between the housing element () and the housing cover (), the sealing gasket () having through-openings () in the region of the channel end openings () for directing the cooling channel into the housing cover (), and the sealing gasket () having an annular support () and a sealing assembly () mounted on the support. The housing is characterized in that the sealing assembly () surrounds the support () such that the support () is completely sealed off from the cooling channel () of the housing.
