Abstract

The present invention provides a method for preparing a compound of Formula C, Formula D, or Formula F: wherein each R, R, and Ris independently H, SFs, N(C-Calkyl)(C-Calkyl), C(═S)N(C-Calkyl)(C-Calkyl), SON(C-Calkyl)(C-Calkyl), OSO(C-Calkyl), OSON(C-Calkyl)(C-Calkyl), N(C-Calkyl)SO(C-Calkyl), or C-Calkyl, C-Chaloalkyl, C-Calkenyl, C-Calkynyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Chalocycloalkyl, C-Calkylcycloalkyl, C-Ccycloalkylalkyl, C-Ccycloalkylcycloalkyl, C-Calkylcycloalkylalkyl, C-Ccycloalkenyl, C-Calkoxy, C-Chaloalkoxy, C-Ccycloalkoxy, C-Chalocycloalkoxy, C-Ccycloalkylalkoxy, C-Calkenyloxy, C-Calkynyloxy, C-Calkylthio, C-Calkylsulfinyl, C-Calkylsulfonyl, C-Ccycloalkylthio, C-Ccycloalkylsulfinyl, C-Ccycloalkylsulfonyl, C-Ccycloalkylalkylthio, C-Ccycloalkylalkylsulfinyl, C-Ccycloalkylalkylsulfonyl, C-Calkenylthio, C-Calkenylsulfinyl, C-Calkenylsulfonyl, C-Calkynylthio, C-Calkynylsulfinyl, C-Calkynylsulfonyl, or phenyl; or two of R, R, and Ron adjacent ring atoms may be taken together to form a 5-to 7-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring, each ring containing ring members selected from carbon atoms and up to 3 heteroatoms independently selected from up to 2 O, up to 2 S, and up to 3 N, wherein up to 2 carbon atom ring members are independently selected from C(═O) and C(═S) and such ring is optionally substituted with up to 3 substituents independently selected from the group consisting of C-Calkyl, C-Chaloalkyl, C-Calkenyl, C-Chaloalkenyl, C-Calkynyl, C-Chaloalkynyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Chalocycloalkyl, C-Calkylcycloalkyl, C-Chaloalkylcycloalkyl, C-Ccycloalkylalkyl, C-Chalocycloalkylalkyl, C-Calkoxy, C-Chaloalkoxy, C-Calkoxycarbonyl, C-Chaloalkoxycarbonyl, C-Calkylcarbonyl and C-Chaloalkylcarbonyl; and M is an inorganic cation or organic cation.
