A compound of formula (1) as drawn in the description, wherein M is a Group 4 metal, one R is a silicon-containing organic solubilizing group, and the other R is a silicon-containing organic solubilizing group or a silicon-free organic solubilizing group. A method of synthesizing the compound (1). A solution of compound (1) in alkane solvent. A catalyst system comprising or made from compound (1) and an activator.
