Abstract

A propeller shaft (PS) has a balance piece () on the outer peripheral side of a stub shaft body section () of a stub shaft (), which is axially separated from both spline sections (), which are spline fitting sections. Due to this configuration, changes in the gap in both spline sections () when the balance piece () is welded are minimized, and the occurrence of new rotational imbalance can be minimized. As a result, rotational imbalance in the propeller shaft (PS) due to the balance piece () can be corrected appropriately and easily.
