Abstract

A piercing nut according to the present invention includes an internal thread, a ring-shaped punching part, a ring-shaped groove, and a bearing surface. The internal threadis formed at the center of a nut main body. The ring-shaped punching partprotrudes around the outer periphery of the internal thread. The ring-shaped grooveis formed around the outer periphery of the ring-shaped punching part. The bearing surfaceprotrudes around the outer periphery of the ring-shaped groove. The height h of the ring-shaped punching partis equal to or lower than the height H of the bearing surfacein the opposite manner to the conventional technique.
