Abstract

A multi-part medical marker () comprising a marker core consisting of at least two corresponding parts () and comprising a detectable surface, wherein the surface is substantially formed from a detectable coating () which is applied to the surface () of the parts () of the marker core (). An apparatus for producing a medical marker comprising a marker core (″) and a detectable surface, comprises: —a first feeding device () for providing the marker core (); —an application device () for applying a detectable layer to the surface () of the marker core (); and—a transport device () for transporting the marker core () within the apparatus.
