Abstract

The present disclosure is concerned with metal oxide nanowires, and more specifically, to crystalline ruthenium oxide (RuO) nanowires, sol-gel synthetic methods for preparing the nanowires, and methods of using the nanowires in metal catalyzed oxidation of small organic molecules.
