Abstract

Devices and methods are disclosed for remote clinical monitoring performance of exercises using an instrumented resistance device (). An example device () includes a resistance band () having a first end () and a second end (). A first handle () connected to the first end () and a second handle () connected to the second end () of the resistance band (). The device () further includes a force sensing assembly () positioned between the first handle () and the first end (). The force sensing assembly () includes a force sensor () connected to the resistance band (), a microcontroller () connected to the force sensor () to receive a set of load force measurements from the force sensor (), and a communication module () connected to the microcontroller () to transmit the set of load force measurements to a local data receiving device ().
