Abstract
A display system for a welding mask that includes a darkening filter layer, a light field camera system to capture a light field, and an optical image stabilization subsystem. Captured light fields are displayed via a light field display within the welding helmet without risk of overexposure of ultraviolet radiation to the operator. In some examples, dual light field displays are used to display different images to each eye of the operator.
