Abstract

A system () includes: (i) a flexible intermediate transfer member (ITM) (), including: a stack of: In (a) a first layer (), located at an outer surface of the ITM (), configured to receive ink droplets to form an ink image thereon, and to transfer the ink image to a target substrate (), and (b) a second layer () including a matrix holding particles (), configured to receive optical radiation () passing through the first layer (), and to heat the ITM () by absorbing the optical radiation (); (ii) an illumination assembly (), configured to dry the ink droplets by directing the optical radiation () to impinge on the particles (); and (iii) a temperature control assembly (), configured to control a temperature of the ITM () by directing a gas () to the ITM ().
