Abstract

A technique for managing communications between a server and multiple clients includes configuring the server to support multiple sets of certificates for respective clients having respective root certificates. The technique further includes determining an indicator associated with a client root certificate during an initial handshake between a client and the server and providing the client with a server certificate associated with the indicator.
