Abstract
An optical system () including a microlens array (), an image sensor () and a PCB (). The microlens array () is bonded to the image sensor () with glue lines () or glue drops () dispensed around the non-active area () of the microlens array (). The image sensor () may be bonded to the PCB () with a layer of adhesive material () applied only on a central region of the image sensor (). Alternatively, the image sensor can rest onto a thermally conductive resin layer () placed over a stiffener (), and the image sensor can be attached to the PCB () by one or more glue drops () or glue lines () arranged on at least one side of the image sensor () or by an adhesive layer () laterally surrounding the image sensor (). The optical system () solves the problem of misalignment between the image sensor and the microlens array caused by changes in temperature.
