Abstract

An ion guide electrode assembly () for an ion-mobility spectrometer is described. The electrode assembly () comprises a first sheet (), having first and second surfaces () comprising a plurality of corresponding regions (). The first sheet () comprises a set of N electrodes (), including a first electrode () and a second electrode (), provided as tracks mutually spaced apart on the first surface () thereof. The electrode assembly () is arrangeable in a planar configuration and preferably in a tubular configuration. In the tubular configuration, a first part () of the first electrode (), provided in a first regionof the first surface (), overlays a second region () of the second surface (). In the tubular configuration, the first part () of the first electrode () overlaps a second part () of the first electrode () and/or a second part () of the second electrode (), provided in a second region () of the first surface ().
