Abstract

Configuring adjacent wireless sectors to rotate between different uplink waveforms according to one or more predetermined schemes, such that an overlap is minimized of uplink signals between the adjacent wireless sectors. Cell edge wireless devices are configured to use different uplink waveforms according to the predetermined schemes and/or responsive to detecting changes in modulation or MIMO layer assignments.
