Abstract
A control deviceacquires an output signal front a lidar unitthat can detect a feature existing around a vehicle, and calculates a reference angle θtag, indicating a tilt angle of a feature to be recognized based on an output signal from the lidar unit, with respect to a detection area of the lidar unit. The control devicethen controls the detection area of the lidar unitaccording to the reference angle θtag and the tilt information stored in the storage unitand indicating an angle of the feature with respect to a road surface.
