Abstract

A tamper-evident container closure () is provided and comprises a base () and a lid (). The base and lid are connected together by a hinge () so that the lid can be moved between a closed position and an open position. The base is attachable to a container neck. Generally opposite the hinge the lid includes a retention member (), the retention member includes or defines a window () and includes a retention portion for engagement with a cooperating portion on the closure and/or on a container neck for holding the lid in a closed position. The closure includes a tamper-evident member () at least part of which moves into or out of view with respect to the window to indicate opening of the closure.
