Abstract
A receptacle connectorincludes a housingin which a recessfor housing a plug connectoris formed on a side opposite to a surface mounted on a substrate of the housing, a required number of contactsarranged between end portions of the housing, and reinforcement metal fittingseach of which is provided on one of the end portions of the housing. The reinforcement metal fittinghas a cantilever resilient piecethat extends in the arrangement direction of the contacts, and a contact piecethat extends from a free end portion of the cantilever resilient pieceand comes into contact with the plug connectorwhen the receptacle connectorand the plug connectorare fitted to each other.
