A throttle deviceincludes a throttle valvewhich is disposed in an intake passage, and includes a first valve bodyand a first rotatable shaftfor rotatably holding the first valve body, a bypass valvewhich is disposed in a bypass passageconnected to the intake passageso as to bypass the throttle valve, and includes a second valve bodyand a second rotatable shaftfor rotatably holding the second valve body, a common motorfor applying a driving force to the throttle valveand the bypass valve, a first gearconfigured to be able to transmit or block the driving force of the motorwith respect to the first rotatable shaft, a second gearconfigured to receive the driving force of the motorand transmit the driving force to the second rotatable shaft, and a sensorfor detecting a rotation amount of the second rotatable shaftof the bypass valveor another rotatable shaft rotating in conjunction with the second rotatable shaft
