Abstract

A method of wireless communication by a device includes detecting whether the device is in an outdoor environment in response to a start of a reevaluation timer. The method also determines a mobility level of the device in response to the start of the reevaluation timer. The method further includes enabling a vehicle-to-everything (VX) pedestrian mode in response to the device being in the outdoor environment and/or the mobility level exceeding a threshold value.
