Abstract

A compound is disclosed that includes a ligand Lof Formula I where ring C is a 5-membered or a 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; each R, R, and Rindependently represents mono to the maximum allowable number of substitutions, or no substitution; Lis complexed to a metal M; M is optionally coordinated to other ligands; the ligand Lis optionally linked with other ligands to comprise a tridentate, tetradentate, pentadentate, or hexadentate ligand; and any two substituents of Rand Rmay be joined or fused together to form a ring.
