A utility pole location specifying system according to the present disclosure includes a cable () containing a communication optical fiber disposed in a utility pole (), a receiving unit () configured to receive an optical signal containing a characteristic pattern of the utility pole () from at least one communication optical fiber contained in the cable (), and a specifying unit () configured to specify a location of the utility pole () based on the characteristic pattern.
