Abstract

An electrodynamic actuator () is disclosed, which is designed to be connected to a plate like structure () and which comprises a coil arrangement () with at least one voice coil (), a magnet system () with a movable magnetic circuit part () and a static magnetic circuit part (F) and a spring arrangement () coupling the static magnetic circuit part (F) to the movable magnetic circuit part () and allowing a relative movement between the same. Both the spring arrangement () and the magnet system () provide a total restoring force (F) directed towards an idle position (P) of the movable magnetic circuit part (). A part of a total restoring force gradient (ΔF/Δz) caused by the magnet system () is at least 10% of the total restoring force gradient (ΔF/Δz) in said idle position (P) of the movable magnetic circuit part (). In addition, an output device () with the electromagnetic actuator () mounted to a plate like structure () is disclosed.
