Abstract

A method for detecting a thermal anomaly during running of a tire-wheel assembly () of a vehicle () equipped with a mounting wheel () on which a pneumatic tire is mounted comprises the steps of measuring the internal pressure (P) and temperature (T) of the tire-wheel assembly () using a sensor () attached to the mounting wheel (), calculating a monitoring ratio which is a function of the measured pressure and of the measured temperature, repeating the preceding steps and tracking the evolution in the value of the monitoring ratio in order to determine a thermal anomaly.
