Abstract

Systems and methods of deferring a transmission of a message are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a method by a wireless device (-) comprises determining () whether a timer () associated with deferring a transmission () of a message () on a certain uplink or downlink logical channel is configured and not running for that certain uplink or downlink logical channel. Further, the method includes transmitting (), to a network node (), the message on that certain uplink or downlink logical channel responsive to determining that the timer is configured and not running for that certain uplink or downlink logical channel.
