Abstract
The present disclosure relates to finger-safe requirements for breaker modules from electrical panel boards and envisages a finger safe coverfor a terminal of an electrical switching device. The finger safe cover comprises a cover bodywith an expandable aperture section. The aperture sectionhas an annulushaving a primary apertureand a coupling sectionsurrounding the annulus. The primary apertureallows a thinner conducting cableto pass therethrough. The coupling sectioncouples the annuluswith the cover body. The aperture sectiondefines a secondary aperturewhen the annulusis detached from the cover bodyby breaking the coupling section, to allow to pass therethrough a thicker conducting cable. The coverpasses the IPXXB test, eliminates the need of safety accessories and is easy to install.
