A method for manufacturing a mechanical timepiece part () including at least one functional area () wherein a lubricant () is able to be confined, the method including a step () of constructing a blank of the part () including the at least one functional area () and a step of transforming () the at least one functional area () into a magnetised functional area () capable of cooperating with the lubricant () when it has magnetic properties.
