Abstract
One embodiment provides a device, including: a mechanical keyboard; a key state component mechanically co-located with each of a plurality of keys of the mechanical keyboard, wherein the key state component changes state between at least actuated and unactuated; a processor; a memory device that stores instructions executable by the processor to: detect an input to change a state of the key state component for at least one of the plurality of keys; and change, responsive to the input, the state of the key state component for the at least one of the plurality of keys.
