Abstract
A method for identity (ID) verification, including: acquiring one or more ID indications of at least one item using a hand held verifying device; automatically verifying by the verifying device a desired relation between the one or more acquired ID indications and stored verification data associated with the verifying device; physically marking the item using the verifying device with a verifying marking if the desired relation is automatically verified.
